Boeing's Cuddle Chairs

How annoying is it to air-travel with economy class tickets for long journeys and not being able to buy- the luxurious and comfort guaranteeing- first class tickets? The most irritating part about such journeys is not being able to sleep properly and falling right or left on shoulders of co-passengers; or even drooling co-passengers falling on your shoulders (yuck!!!! ) But well Boeing has come to the rescue yet again with something called ‘Cuddle chairs’

What are these ‘Cuddle chairs’?

If the inflatable pillow, neck pillow and coffee have failed to provide comfort while travelling, try Boeing’s backpack for cuddling. And no it doesn’t contain big red cushion or any lovey-dovey material. The procedure to having a great night’s sleep is as follows:

• The backpack will be located under the seat and straps will attach to the passenger's head rest

• A 'face relief aperture,' or a face pillow with a hole for breathing, and chest cushion provide added support

• The patent insists that this system is far superior to neck pillows due to sleep's 'natural horizontal tendency'

Although Boeing has refused to provide any further information except for that mentioned in the patent, it might take a while to see this technology to be actually implemented in airplanes. Although we sincerely hope that this comforting product is launched as soon as possible. 

Ford's living rooms cum cars

Autonomous cars are the future indeed, but have you ever thought how mundane it’ll be to sit in the car with nothing to do and keep looking out of the window every time.  Ever dreamed of having your own home theater or maybe a living room inside a CAR!? ( And no you don’t need to buy a limousine for it!) Well your dreams might finally come true with Ford’s latest patent. Take a guess at what it is?

Comfy-travelling

Comfy travelling as you could call it, Ford has found a way to turn your car into a living room, and building facilities regarding the same. According to Ford, an autonomous automobile doesn’t require front seats at all. Therefore, Ford has patented technology to fold and stow away the front seats to make more space in the car and convert the interior of the car into a living room. In fact, everything from the seats to the steering wheel is reconfigurable. To modify the interior of the autonomous automobile, Ford has divided its front seats to make more space in the vehicle. 

What's the use of this additional space?

• This additional space can be utilized by users to play video games or perform themselves in other ways.

• In addition to this, the front seats can be made to rotate and face the backseats of the car. This would facilitate communication and a diversion from the prosaic view outside the window.
  
• It can also be used by business associates for a conference
  
• The console that is customarily placed between front seats of an automobile is also mobile and can be positioned anywhere within the interior of the automobile to act as a table.

The unthinkable has been accomplished; all these transformations can take place in a moving car, which is amazing!
